Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for PGDM – iFEEL Institute of Management

Following are the answers to the various frequently asked questions regarding iFEEL’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management:

Question 1. What do you mean by AICTE approved PGDM program?

Answer: AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) is a statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. For autonomous institutes, AICTE approval is mandatory because they are not affiliated to a university. All the students aim to be placed in a well known company. Additionally, many students aspire to go overseas for work or further studies. Your degree is considered to be valid only if your college is AICTE approved. If not, you are not eligible for an overseas job or higher education.

Question 2. How many PGDM specializations are offered by iFEEL?

Answer: iFEEL offers 4 specializations: Finance, Operations, Marketing and Human Resources. Along with the PGDM curriculum, students are offered value added certification as per their specialization.

Question 3. What are the prerequisites for admission?

Answer: A student must be a graduate from a recognized university. She/he must have 50% marks in 10th, 12th and all the semesters of graduation.

Question 4. Which entrance exams need to be cleared to get admission into iFEEL’s PDGM program?

Answer: iFEEL Institute conducts its own entrance test, which covers aptitude, logic and grammar. An essay writing test is conducted to assess the language skills. Also, students are judged based on their communication skills, domain knowledge and convincing skills. Personal interviews are conducted after the written test.

Question 5. Does the college have EMI options for payment of fees?

Answer: Yes, EMI options are available for students.

Question 6. What kind of placement assistance is provided to the students?

Answer: Students are groomed throughout the 2-year PGDM course. They are trained by expert faculty and industry leaders. Summer internship is provided to the students once they complete the first year of the program. In the second year, many top notch companies come to the college for placements. The average package for the students of batch 2015-17 is between 5L P.A to 6L P.A. The placement records are audited by CRISIL, which is a global analytical company providing ratings.

Question 7. Is iFEEL Institute a residential college?

Answer: Yes, iFEEL Institute of Management is a residential college in Lonavala. The students must mandatorily stay in the college hostel during the 2-year PGDM course.

Question 8. What kind of extra-curricular activities are conducted in the college?

Answer: There are many extra-curricular activities for the students. It starts as soon as the students take admission in the college and continues throughout the PGDM course. The i4 speaker series is held almost every month. Additionally, the annual function, iSUMMIT, etc. are organized. Domestic and international industrial visits are undertaken for students every year.

Question 9. Can I take admission for the PGDM course, if I didn’t study the management subjects at graduation level?

Answer: Yes, a student needs to be a graduate with 50% marks from any recognized university. The stream does not matter.
