Much like every other Saturday, on the 20th of August, 2016, Mr. Amit Aras, Associate Vice President, Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd., addressed the students at the iFEEL campus. He shared his incredible humble journey with the young minds of tomorrow which highly inspired them. He started off with his speech by mentioning about his meek beginning as a Team Leader in a BPO, and then his shift from the IT sector to securities, which was almost like a bouncer for him as he was getting into a new field altogether. He then enrolled in for a NISM Certification Course, in order to cope with the dilemma he was in, or a career shift.
He spoke about the great crash in the Indian Stock Market, of 2008. He emphasized mainly on being a transformational leader, by reinforcing his team positively.
Analysing the problem and spending quality time with the employees is his way to understanding the perspective of the employees towards their work. He mentioned about being proactive and flexible enough to adapt and make tough decisions. Rational thought process is something which is required for a leader to take his team to another level of success, he explained. His concept of Krishna and Ram stated that initiating and delegating are two forms wherein we require more initiatives to sustain the situation and achieve the goal. He gave ideas about digital intervention to approach customers and clients in the form of Push technology.
He ended his speech by saying, “Keep your dreams high exceed you target because potential and talent lies in leader.”
